April 2024 Planting Guide and Garden Update

I’m devastated.

Last week I discovered what I am pretty sure are the maggots of Queensland fruit fly (Bactrocera tryoni) in my home grown fruit.

I spent most of March bragging about the crazy abundance of mostly blemish-free apples, pears and nashi I’ve been picking, bottling, dehydrating, preserving, eating fresh and giving away to anyone who visits.
