Duncan it’s finally raining here in Doreen today. Drizzling soaking rain. I knew it would rain , not because we’re watching the weather service closely but because we had our car washed , polished yesterday.! Let’s pray it’s here for a few days and soaks into the soil and washed all the red dust away.
l am tempted to do nothing but watch the rain falling!
Lucky you. We had a few spots yesterday, totalling 1.5mm in the gauge this morning. I'd best get out and wash the ute and see if that does the trick here.
Same here in strathfieldsaye. Dig the garden, need a dust mask on. Dead roos on the roadsides as they come in to eat the grass on the dew-fed edges. Pretty bleak.
Oh Duncan sitting here on the other side of town I empathise with every word you say. The frosts have put a little into my tank, just destroyed everything in the process.
It will rain Sunday. KDPC has its Annual Show and we could all wash our cars to help it along. Pam.
Every time the forecast has suggested rain I've cleared all the leaves from the gutters in anticipation. I wont bother this time around and see if that helps to make a difference ;-)
Washing the car might help too. I wonder if we could encourage lots of visitors to come camping in Kyneton over the long weekend?
Hopefully you’re getting this morning’s drizzle Duncan 🤗 The weather certainly has been weird. We’re still enjoying capsicums, zucchini and eggplant in Ashbourne 🤔
The deck was wet this morning, another heavy dew. But I just checked the gauge and again, if I squint and round up generously, there's almost half a mm in there. Probably the accumulation of a week of heavy dew? Maybe a few spots in the night? Right now though there's no sign of rain or even drizzle here. Blue skies with a few white clouds whipping past in the wind.
Fingers crossed for something more substantial over the weekend.
I'm glad you're at least getting some drizzle in Ashbourne.
See you on the 14th for the Backyard Orchards workshop.
A bit of wet the last two days in Templestowe, but a large water bill is expected soon!!
Hooray for rain. boo for big water bills.
Fingers crossed for a bit more rain over the long weekend.

How much fell on your garden in the end?

Bleak is an apt word Gregg.
May many a long-weekend camping trip be ruined by steady rain - right across the state!

It’s bl00dy cold Duncan! But we’ve had some more rain this week, not much but every drop counts! More to come this weekend 🤗🤞🤞🤞
Looking forward to the orchard workshop!
