There's plenty of blackbirds about here too. The currawongs turned up a few weeks ago and are doing their bit. I read somewhere that for every clutch of currawongs raised they eat 60 clutches of other birds' eggs/young. Brutal! Hopefully its mostly blackbirds and not the WBS Wrens and Pardalotes they are preying on.
Are you laughing at me? Ha! Nah! I'm laughing at him.
Ha!
Lovely to see we also have a scrub wren family doing well. Their nest is in a large pot plant.
Also spotted a spotted pardelote but don’t know where they’ve chosen to nest.
Have way too many blackbirds this year and I think action is needed!
